Chancellor's Message 1/30/22

Dear OPA Families,
This week we celebrated Kindness and School of Choice week. Our Theme for the week is “OPA
Chooses Kindness”. Our PAL students led this week’s
events. Throughout the week they have been creating a
kindness chain made of kindness notes from all students.
Each day we had a dress up day. Follow us on Instagram to
view more photos. We thank all of our wonderful families
and students for the great school spirit.

Chancellor's Message 1/23/22

Dear OPA Families,
I hope you had a restful weekend! This week we are celebrating School Choice and
Kindness Challenge Week. Our theme this year is OPA CHOOSES KINDNESS!
You can help us spread the word about why you chose OPA South Orange County as
your school of choice by sharing your experience on Niche. This site provides in-depth
school and college profiles to help students and families find and enroll in the right
school for them.

Chancellor's Message 1/16/22

Thank you for your patience and cooperation during this first week back after our winter break.
With the recent surge in Covid cases, we ask parents, students, and employees to be extra
vigilant with safety mitigation measures. We all must do our part to reduce the spread of this
virus to the greatest extent possible. You must keep your child home if they are sick or exhibiting
any COVID-19 symptoms – no matter how minor those symptoms may seem.

Chancellor's Message 1/9/22 - Return To School Instructions

Happy New Year! I hope you had a wonderful and safe winter break with your loved ones. We
are looking foward to welcoming our Champions and staff on Monday, January 10th.
On Friday, January 7th, we had the opportunity to offer each of our students and staff an Antigen
Rapid COVID test. We had a significant number of families pick up tests who were so grateful
and kind to us when we were distributing them. If you did not have an opportunity to pick one
up on Friday, you may do the following:

Important Information prior to returning on Monday, January 10th

School resumes on Monday, January 10, 2022. I am looking forward to greeting our students and staff on campus. We will continue to focus on safety, building relationships, supporting students and staff, and providing a high quality educational experience for all.

As COVID and the new Omicron variant continue to cause surges in case numbers across California and the world, we want to continue to ensure that our OPA champions, staff, and families are safe and healthy.

Chancellor Message 12/12/21

Dear OPA Families,
I am excited to share that on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday of this week our 5th and 6th
grade students were engaged in our annual Walkthroughs. A Walkthrough is an engaging and
interactive 2 ½ hour presentation of standards-based history curriculum through literacy and the
arts. Fifth grade students focus on the American revolution and sixth grade students focus on the
Ancient World. The presentation is facilitated by an animated trained presenter who guides
students through historical events using dynamic, kid-friendly stories and activities.

OPA Message 12/3/2021
