Saddleback Valley USD held a Public Hearing on May 12, 2022, to solicit comments regarding our charter petition. Dr. Kernan and Dr. Henry presented information to the SVUSD Board and Administration regarding the new middle school petition. Paul Kagoo (OPA Board Secretary), Andrew Huynh (SOC Teacher), Betsy Freiler (SOC Parent), Logan Bailey (SOC student), (Kayla Wells (SOC Student), and Erin Lai (SV Student) spoke eloquently at the meeting, expressing their support for a new OPA middle school. Thank you to everyone that attended the meeting. The SVUSD Board will be voting on the petition at their June 16, 2022, Board meeting. We are excited to begin planning for the new school as soon as we are approved!!
