Chancellor Alvarado's Welcome Message (2021-22)

Dear OPA Families and Community, 

As Chancellor of Oxford Preparatory Academy - South Orange County, it is my pleasure to welcome everyone to the 2021-2022 school year. We are all excited to have our Champions back in the classrooms and throughout campus filling it with energy and enthusiasm for learning. I feel honored to work with our highly qualified and dedicated staff, our wonderful Champions, and our highly engaged and supportive OPA families. 

My Mission and vision is the following: 
*Create and implement a vision that leads to high academic achievement and social growth
*Develop shared vision of rigor and high expectations 
*Ensure vision and mission drive school decisions 
*Develop strong and meaningful relationships with our OPA community. 
 
I have earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from the University of California, Davis and I completed a Master of Science and Administrative Services Credential at California State University of Fullerton.  

I have been in the field of education for eighteen years and I have served in three Orange County Districts, four high schools and one TK-8th grade school. I began my career in education as a high school Mathematics teacher and taught for seven years. I served as a Dean of Academics for three years, Assistant Principal for six years and the last two years as a Principal at OPA. 

I am honored to begin my third year as your Chancellor. It is a true privilege to be part of a community where OPA families, Champions and Professors care for each other and strive to build positive relationships that support students’ academic and social growth.
